Later that month, on February 11, 2026, Stephanie M. Brinkley spoke to the What/If/How Society at the U.S.C. Joseph Rice School of Law in Columbia, South Carolina. The presentation, “NextGen Parentage – Next Steps,” introduced the law students to concepts in modern parenting, including the need to secure legal parental rights for clients using assisted reproduction, legal vulnerabilities of same sex parents, and the complexities of divorce matters involving third-party reproduction.
