Stephanie Brinkley Published in Prominent French Law Magazine
April 3rd, 2025
Attorney Stephanie Brinkley has co-authored an article in the prominent French Law Magazine, Droit & Patrimoine (or Law & Heritage for the English speakers). The article, "La Filiation
En Droit International" (Parentage and International Law) focuses on the intricacies and challenges that French and Spanish couples face when going through an international surrogacy journey.
Even though surrogacy is currently illegal in both France and Spain, some couples in these countries still choose this route to grow their families. These parents are making this project of parenthood a reality in countries where surrogacy is accepted and legal. Some countries, such as the United States, therefore, have a legal framework governing this use of surrogacy.
